It was basically a warmer, comfier option to camping for us. Nothing more, nothing less. It was a 4.5 hour drive for us, so we had hoped for better, but we made the best of it.

A lovely and peaceful location, we visited Wallings Ice Cream, The Flower Bowl Entertainment Centre to watch a film and to The Cartford Inn for a delicious dinner- all within a short half hour drive.

We had the best time. From our trip to fill up on all the meats from countrystyle farm shop in Lancaster, to watching the rugby at farm yard ales and of course feeding the Alpacas. It was perfect and we will absolutely be making it a tradition to come every year. ❤️

The owners were very obliging although they have covered everything so there was very little need to disturb them. Feeding the animals was an added treasure. The space itself is lovely. The view from the hut is beautiful. The bed is super comfy and the fire is such an added benefit. Really enjoyed making s’mores on the fire.

The location is brilliant. Close to all the places we wanted to be. Lots of walks around.
Feeding the alpacas was also an added benefit.

Would definitely recommend as we really enjoyed our stay.

The... read more firepit is so novel, and we thoroughly enjoyed sitting in the evening, cooking and playing board games. A time to chill together. The animals are great to feed . And Jess & Lee are so helpful and friendly.
Great area to visit the local brewery and tap room. We would also recommend the Smokehouse shop at Glasson Dock to buy good quality meats, and fish to cook on the firepit. A summer stay is our next plan. Thankyou for a wonderful time.
