  It is hard to find fault with our stay at the grill hut. Everything from the private alpaca farm to the cosy cottage with the indoor barbecue just blew us... read more away. Put all that together with amazing hosts who would go the extra mile to make their guests happy (especially Hattie, who welcomed us and showed us around) makes this place the best we’ve ever stayed at. We will definitely book again and cannot recommend enough!

  This was our second visit to Sand Villa Grill Hut. It was even better then we remembered, my partner and I loved it so much last year that this year... read more he chose it to propose to me there. The Grill hut is such a magical, fairy tale stay, complete with all the amenities you need for a glamping holiday. Located in a beautiful part of the country. We would highly recommend hiring the pizza oven for the evening as this provided great entertainment and food at a very reasonable price. We used the bus just outside the site to get to Lancaster and had a fab time there on the second day, the bus was quick and easy to use. We can’t wait to book again next year. Thank you to Jess and Lee for being such wonderful and friendly hosts.

  Had a gorgeous stay, lovely attention to detail. We stayed on a cold and rainy weekend and we couldn’t have been warmer with the fire on! It was perfect.   when we arrived the grill hut was open and ready for us to make ourselves at home. the grill hut is super cosy and even given the "lovely" British weather... read more (rain and wind) it didn't disrupt our stay at all. if anything it made it better. snuggled up by the fire pit.
the animals are super friendly and very characteristic. hope the lil brown alpaca gets well soon though x
making pizzas was a lovely little touch and really fun to do together.
we enjoyed a lovely local walk with beautiful scenery.
and probably one of the best nights sleep we had.

  The most comfortable beds, lots of little bits to make it so much easier to travel light with kids, washing up liquid, tea and coffee, camping chairs. We took one... read more bag of clothes and one bag of food. Would recommend the pizza kit, was such a nice treat and kids can create their own pizzas.

The complimentary beers and marshmallows were a lovely touch and tasted good, plus was nice knowing the beer was locally made.

Good amenities and I loved the fact the wc and shower were outside. A good shower to which I didn’t expect.

The best part, even though the hut was amazing was the animals. Especially when my partner got spat at by a alpaca, I’ve seen it all now lol

Jess and her family... read more were all lovely and welcoming, everywhere was spotlessly clean and the hut had everything you needed. Feeding the alpacas, sheep n chickens was a joy, they're all very tame which I'm sure anyone with young family's would love.
We're hoping to visit again very soon.

Stay in the hut and really relax with a bbq sat by a log fire and enjoy the views, or take advantage of the great location and head into Blackpool or the Lake District.

  Had a great stay, went to Lancaster for a day trip which is only 15 mins drive away. Will 100% be recommending to friends and family 👍🏽

It is fairly isolated but was exactly what we were looking for.
