Highlight recommended if you need a break from the world right now! A lovely and peaceful location, we visited Wallings Ice Cream, The Flower Bowl Entertainment Centre to watch a film and to The Cartford Inn for a delicious dinner- all within a short half hour drive.

Jess and her family... read more were all lovely and welcoming, everywhere was spotlessly clean and the hut had everything you needed. Feeding the alpacas, sheep n chickens was a joy, they're all very tame which I'm sure anyone with young family's would love.
We're hoping to visit again very soon.

  when we arrived the grill hut was open and ready for us to make ourselves at home. the grill hut is super cosy and even given the "lovely" British weather... read more (rain and wind) it didn't disrupt our stay at all. if anything it made it better. snuggled up by the fire pit.
the animals are super friendly and very characteristic. hope the lil brown alpaca gets well soon though x
making pizzas was a lovely little touch and really fun to do together.
we enjoyed a lovely local walk with beautiful scenery.
and probably one of the best nights sleep we had.

It is fairly isolated but was exactly what we were looking for.

We had the best time. From our trip to fill up on all the meats from countrystyle farm shop in Lancaster, to watching the rugby at farm yard ales and of course feeding the Alpacas. It was perfect and we will absolutely be making it a tradition to come every year. ❤️

  The most gorgeous little escape from reality, allowing us to spend some much needed quality time together, away from the distractions of life! We cannot recommend the Grill Hut enough!... read more Being able to cosy up inside with a starlit sky painted above the bed and a roaring fire was just perfect! We were able to cook delicious food and keep warm by the fire, even when it was pouring down outside. The hut has everything you could need, with cute games and thoughtful touches to amazing quality fire wood/charcoal and brilliant surprises from Jess! Flexible check in and check out is the best thing and allowed us to stay in bed for a couple more blissful hours before checking out! We can’t wait to be back and are already planning our next trip!   We have just gotten back from a relaxing night away. As busy parents we were looking for somewhere scenic, relaxing and with plenty to do. We felt welcomed from the... read more start, left some lovely extras and the hut was spotless and cosy. We had an explore, fed the goats and checked out the pub pod (a lovely extra touch). We then made our pizzas, ate them outside and then wondered back to the pub pod to sit outside, play some games & watch the sun set. We then went back to the hut, lit the fire and relaxed. We slept well and felt refreshed the next day. We enjoyed our breakfast outside & had a slow morning before getting ready to leave.

We had a wonderful time away and it was just what we needed. Thank you so much ☺️ we are hoping to return with the kids in the near future.

A top tip we would give is to bring some sliders for the shower so you don’t have to walk on the chippings.
