We were able to cook delicious food and keep warm by the fire, even when it was pouring down outside. The hut has everything you could need, with cute games and thoughtful touches to amazing quality fire wood/charcoal and brilliant surprises from Jess! Flexible check in and check out is the best thing and allowed us to stay in bed for a couple more blissful hours before checking out! We can’t wait to be back and are already planning our next trip!   This was our second visit to Sand Villa Grill Hut. It was even better then we remembered, my partner and I loved it so much last year that this year... read more he chose it to propose to me there. The Grill hut is such a magical, fairy tale stay, complete with all the amenities you need for a glamping holiday. Located in a beautiful part of the country. We would highly recommend hiring the pizza oven for the evening as this provided great entertainment and food at a very reasonable price. We used the bus just outside the site to get to Lancaster and had a fab time there on the second day, the bus was quick and easy to use. We can’t wait to book again next year. Thank you to Jess and Lee for being such wonderful and friendly hosts.

The complimentary beers and marshmallows were a lovely touch and tasted good, plus was nice knowing the beer was locally made.

Good amenities and I loved the fact the wc and shower were outside. A good shower to which I didn’t expect.

The best part, even though the hut was amazing was the animals. Especially when my partner got spat at by a alpaca, I’ve seen it all now lol

  Absolutely amazing stay at the Grill Hut. Jess was on hand via text for anything we needed and the wood “shop” was right outside the door. We didn’t have cash... read more but Jess provided bank details so it wasn’t an issue. We were wondering what we would need to take but there is everything you need to cook and the shower was better than most hotels I have stayed in. There is an under counter fridge to store plenty of food and drinks. Feeding the llamas was a blast and feed was provided on arrival. Thank you Jess, will definitely be back! 😊

  We have just gotten back from a relaxing night away. As busy parents we were looking for somewhere scenic, relaxing and with plenty to do. We felt welcomed from the... read more start, left some lovely extras and the hut was spotless and cosy. We had an explore, fed the goats and checked out the pub pod (a lovely extra touch). We then made our pizzas, ate them outside and then wondered back to the pub pod to sit outside, play some games & watch the sun set. We then went back to the hut, lit the fire and relaxed. We slept well and felt refreshed the next day. We enjoyed our breakfast outside & had a slow morning before getting ready to leave.

We had a wonderful time away and it was just what we needed. Thank you so much ☺️ we are hoping to return with the kids in the near future.

A top tip we would give is to bring some sliders for the shower so you don’t have to walk on the chippings.

  Located on what is essentially a caravan park. Busy, noisy road which kept us up for most of the night. No real communication beforehand without prompts, but check-in was pretty... read more straightforward. Some of the reviews mentioned pizza etc and we were not offered any of these options. It was basically a warmer, comfier option to camping for us. Nothing more, nothing less. It was a 4.5 hour drive for us, so we had hoped for better, but we made the best of it.
