the animals are super friendly and very characteristic. hope the lil brown alpaca gets well soon though x
making pizzas was a lovely little touch and really fun to do together.
we enjoyed a lovely local walk with beautiful scenery.
and probably one of the best nights sleep we had.

The complimentary beers and marshmallows were a lovely touch and tasted good, plus was nice knowing the beer was locally made.

Good amenities and I loved the fact the wc and shower were outside. A good shower to which I didn’t expect.

The best part, even though the hut was amazing was the animals. Especially when my partner got spat at by a alpaca, I’ve seen it all now lol

The only downside for us was it being next to a road (which we didn't realise when booking). Although this isnt a busy main road, it becomes busier around rush hour first thing in the morning and again later on, and so we were woken up by traffic. As we live on a main road we wanted something a bit quieter in the mornings. But thank you for everything! Would recommend.

Lee and Jess were friendly hosts without being intrusive. The little extras they provided were a lovely touch and very much appreciated.
The hut has everything you need for a weekend break. The flushing toilet and outdoor, electric shower had great pressure and worked perfectly. Both are enclosed and the shower is a generous size so perfect for tall guests. Cleanliness is brilliant and there was everything you should need to feel covid safe.
Feeding the Alpaca and the other animals further added to the charm of our stay and I can only imagine that children would adore having resident animals during their holiday.
We had the most enchanting time and the lovely memories of Sandvilla and the grill hut will stay with us forever ♥

Overall we would definitely recommend.

We cannot recommend the Grill Hut enough!... read more Being able to cosy up inside with a starlit sky painted above the bed and a roaring fire was just perfect! We were able to cook delicious food and keep warm by the fire, even when it was pouring down outside. The hut has everything you could need, with cute games and thoughtful touches to amazing quality fire wood/charcoal and brilliant surprises from Jess! Flexible check in and check out is the best thing and allowed us to stay in bed for a couple more blissful hours before checking out! We can’t wait to be back and are already planning our next trip!   Wow, just home from this magical little place. Everything is considered and there is not one thing we would change about the experience. Such a great location for exploring, we... read more managed to fit in a farm trip (Greenland’s Farm Village - where you can feed pigs, goats and ponies) a coastal walk (Silverdale - untouched beauty) and the local brewery (Farmyard Ales), not to mention feeding the alpacas (on-site!) but the highlight really is the hut itself. In here you could be anywhere in the world, such a perfect escape. We are already planning our next visit!

  Absolutely fab place to stay. Jess and Lee are so lovely, welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. We visited the butchers at Lancaster Leisure Park, along with the 40,000sq... read more ft of antiques and collectables place. The lancaster Brewery was so great too, treating ourselves to some amazing beers. We visited Blackpool for a day, then the Lake District, driving through Hardknots Pass... That was a bit hairy. And we went to Morecombe Bay in an evening. The alpacas/sheep and chickens were so funny and great to feed. We cooked delicious steaks, alabama pork shops and coffee and pepper chicken skewers all from the Lancaster butchers. Enjoyed beers and Gin by the fire and ate outside at the little table. Fabulous stay, very relaxing, cozy and we were lucky to have the weather too! We would recommend this place in a flash. Thank you Jess and Lee.
