The only downside for us was it being next to a road (which we didn't realise when booking). Although this isnt a busy main road, it becomes busier around rush hour first thing in the morning and again later on, and so we were woken up by traffic. As we live on a main road we wanted something a bit quieter in the mornings. But thank you for everything! Would recommend.

We cannot recommend the Grill Hut enough!... read more Being able to cosy up inside with a starlit sky painted above the bed and a roaring fire was just perfect! We were able to cook delicious food and keep warm by the fire, even when it was pouring down outside. The hut has everything you could need, with cute games and thoughtful touches to amazing quality fire wood/charcoal and brilliant surprises from Jess! Flexible check in and check out is the best thing and allowed us to stay in bed for a couple more blissful hours before checking out! We can’t wait to be back and are already planning our next trip!   It is hard to find fault with our stay at the grill hut. Everything from the private alpaca farm to the cosy cottage with the indoor barbecue just blew us... read more away. Put all that together with amazing hosts who would go the extra mile to make their guests happy (especially Hattie, who welcomed us and showed us around) makes this place the best we’ve ever stayed at. We will definitely book again and cannot recommend enough!

  Absolutely amazing stay at the Grill Hut. Jess was on hand via text for anything we needed and the wood “shop” was right outside the door. We didn’t have cash... read more but Jess provided bank details so it wasn’t an issue. We were wondering what we would need to take but there is everything you need to cook and the shower was better than most hotels I have stayed in. There is an under counter fridge to store plenty of food and drinks. Feeding the llamas was a blast and feed was provided on arrival. Thank you Jess, will definitely be back! 😊

The... read more firepit is so novel, and we thoroughly enjoyed sitting in the evening, cooking and playing board games. A time to chill together. The animals are great to feed . And Jess & Lee are so helpful and friendly.
Great area to visit the local brewery and tap room. We would also recommend the Smokehouse shop at Glasson Dock to buy good quality meats, and fish to cook on the firepit. A summer stay is our next plan. Thankyou for a wonderful time.

  Located on what is essentially a caravan park. Busy, noisy road which kept us up for most of the night. No real communication beforehand without prompts, but check-in was pretty... read more straightforward. Some of the reviews mentioned pizza etc and we were not offered any of these options. It was basically a warmer, comfier option to camping for us. Nothing more, nothing less. It was a 4.5 hour drive for us, so we had hoped for better, but we made the best of it.
