Lee and Jess were friendly hosts without being intrusive. The little extras they provided were a lovely touch and very much appreciated.
The hut has everything you need for a weekend break. The flushing toilet and outdoor, electric shower had great pressure and worked perfectly. Both are enclosed and the shower is a generous size so perfect for tall guests. Cleanliness is brilliant and there was everything you should need to feel covid safe.
Feeding the Alpaca and the other animals further added to the charm of our stay and I can only imagine that children would adore having resident animals during their holiday.
We had the most enchanting time and the lovely memories of Sandvilla and the grill hut will stay with us forever ♥

  when we arrived the grill hut was open and ready for us to make ourselves at home. the grill hut is super cosy and even given the "lovely" British weather... read more (rain and wind) it didn't disrupt our stay at all. if anything it made it better. snuggled up by the fire pit.
the animals are super friendly and very characteristic. hope the lil brown alpaca gets well soon though x
making pizzas was a lovely little touch and really fun to do together.
we enjoyed a lovely local walk with beautiful scenery.
and probably one of the best nights sleep we had.

  We had a brilliant stay at the grill hut. It was blowing a gale when we arrived but we got the fire lit in no time and it was cozy... read more and warm and lovely. The hut had everything we needed, feeding the alpacas was great fun and Jess and Lee were great hosts. We would definitely recommend this to other people and we have already talked about returning next summer. Thanks again Jess and Lee.

The grill hut is fantastic if you want to do your own BBQ or make your own pizza's !
This place has So much to offer and the hosts are great ! If yoi need anything they are available... if you are happy with everything then just enjoy the wonderful grill hut and the peaceful settings it has to offer.

I am a light sleeper so could hear traffic initially but once I put earplugs in it... read more was fine and it wasn’t a busy road. Would suggest you need a car if you want to get about as there are no paths on the side of the road so not safe to walk. Just a note that you need to bring towels for showering as the literature said towels provided but it’s tea and hand towels only. Jessica was very kind though and loaned us a couple. Lovely brewery a short drive away and of course the alpacas, sheep and chickens were entertaining. It just felt very relaxing and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it.

We loved sitting by the fire and cooking our tea over it. We got the pizza package on one night and I really recommend it - delicious pizzas, good fun and definitely worth paying extra for. Jess was a brilliant host, super friendly and very responsive. Can't wait to find an excuse to come and stay again!

The only downside for us was it being next to a road (which we didn't realise when booking). Although this isnt a busy main road, it becomes busier around rush hour first thing in the morning and again later on, and so we were woken up by traffic. As we live on a main road we wanted something a bit quieter in the mornings. But thank you for everything! Would recommend.

Cannot fault this place at all it had everything you may need down to the T. The fire pit was amazing better in person and we cooked steaks we bought locally the first night on the open fire and hired a pizza oven from Jess on the second night where we made garlic bread and margarita pizzas. So quiet and private considering the location and what else is around you. The outdoor swing is lovely I had a bacon bun and a brew in the morning sat on the swing!! Also the shower is second to none definitely an amazing experience to try.
